Over time, your network of Facebook friends can grow to a number that's difficult to manage, so the site offers you the ability to organize your friends into lists to communicate with users more easily. Using lists presents several potential advantages. For example, create a list of colleagues or members of a school project and send the same message to each user by using the name of the list.
Log in to your Facebook account and click the "Friends" link that appears along the left side of the "News Feed." Click the "Edit Friends" button in the upper-right corner of the screen; then click "Create a List."
Enter a desired list name at the top of the window. Input the name of each friend you wish to add to the list, or scroll down through your complete list of friends and click the profile picture of each you want to add. Click "Create List" when you've finished adding members.
Click the "Messages" icon at the top of the screen and click "Send a New Message" to create a new message. Enter the name of your list into the "To" field. Compose a message text and click "Send" to send it to all members of your list.
