Create Facebook Polls in Groups

Facebook groups, unlike Facebook pages, may be started by any member to celebrate just about any hobby, sport or interest you can think of. The groups platform is also a good way to create a space where a specific group of friends, such as old high school classmates, can communicate more privately. Just like on your personal profile, groups pages allow you to create a polling question and post it for friends to answer. Creating a poll takes just a few minutes, and you can delete it at any time.

Point your browser to your group's profile. Groups are listed in the left column of the Facebook homepage. If you previously removed your groups from the homepage, type the word "Groups" into the search engine and click on the top search result to expose the full list of your groups. Access a group profile by clicking once on its name.

Click on the "Questions" icon, located in the "Share" bar just above the group's wall.

Type your question in the "Ask Something" field. Click the blue "Add Poll Questions" link.

Type one possible answer for your question in each "Add an option" field. You may offer your group up to 100 possible answers for your question.

Click the "Ask Question" button to post the question to the group's wall.
