Adding family members to your Facebook page is a way to increase your circle of online contacts, to virtually introduce your family members to your online friends or to share your photos, videos and other personal tidbits with family near and far. Once your family members are added, they'll be listed on your profile above your friends, as "Sister," "Cousin" or other appropriate designation. The family member is sent a request through Facebook to confirm the relationship, at which time you are added to her Facebook page, with your profiles linked in the same way as friends.
Log in to your Facebook account. Click the "Profile" tab in the upper-right menu bar.
Click the "Edit Profile" button on the right side of the page.
Click "Featured People" button on the left panel. Enter an email for your family member in the "Family" text pane. Select the pull-down menu next to the name to select the relationship. The family member is sent an email to become your friend on Facebook and confirm your request.
Add another family member by clicking the "Add another family member" link. Click the "Save Changes" box to save and exit.
