Delete Google Contacts Group

Google's Gmail is more than just an email service. It provides productivity tools and communication features like Google Documents and a built-in instant messaging application. Gmail also helps you organize contacts and emails by allowing you to manage contact groups. With this feature, you create groups to sort your contacts. You can modify or delete a Google contacts group from your Gmail inbox.

Login to your Gmail account. Your inbox loads. Click on "Contacts" in the left sidebar. A list of your contacts loads to the main section of the page. A list of your groups loads to the left sidebar under the "My Contacts" heading.

Select the group you want to delete from the "My Contacts" section of the left sidebar. The group you select loads to the main section of the page.

Click the drop-down arrow of the "More Actions" tab at the top of the contact list in the main section.

Select "Delete Group" from the options that appear. A confirmation prompt opens.

Click the "OK" button of the confirmation prompt to delete the group. Click the "Cancel" button to cancel the action.

Click on "Mail" at the top of the left sidebar to return to your inbox.
