Are You Running After Every Client?

So if you run after 2 bunnies at the same time, what are the chances of you catching them both?

The answer would be practically none. And that would be exactly the same when it comes to business. If you have your eye on two different bunnies, ie, two different target markets, the odds of you capturing either one is very unlikely, or at best, very difficult.

However, if you pick one and focus, and use all your energy, all your time and all your resources on that one bunny, you are much more likely to catch it.

And this is exactly the same with business. If you have more than one, be very careful about where your time, energy and resources are going, would it be wise to focus on just one at a time, rather than 2 or 3 at the same time? This is how you create your Niche Marketing Strategy.

I know as a healer and helper of the world, you find it difficult to focus on just one group of people or one modality or practice. You want to help the whole world in all the ways you know how.

And you can, but when you are marketing your business, the most important part is knowing who you are speaking to, who your ideal client is. When you know that, it makes writing the message so much easier. And the more you can target your message, the more referrals and clients you can attain.

The most important part of that is that your potential clients will hear that message instead of it spraying into the busy crowd and no one hearing it because it is just too vague.

For example, if you heard or saw a message that said, "Are you hungry? I've got lots of food that will fill you up" Would you go if you were hungry? Would you want to go and find out what food there was? Not very likely.

Whereas if you heard "come to Pizza Hut for a juicy thick pizza dripping in all your favourite toppings at half the normal price today", would you be more inclined to go because you love pizza and you love half price too!

Or if pizza is not your thing, but your best friend loves it, you would let her know it was half price that day, wouldn't you? Of course you would, you love to help out your friends.

It's exactly the same when it comes to talking to our potential clients. If they recognize the message and understand it is something they want and it will be beneficial to them, they can say yes, I want that, I'm going for that.

Or if it's not for them, but if they know their best friend wants it and would benefit from it, bingo, you've got yourself a referral!

So stop running after 2 bunnies (or more!). Pick one, and start putting your time, energy and resources into catching that one. Knowing how to find your niche can help you to focus your marketing in the right place so that you reach more clients.
