Outdoor Parks for Weddings Colorado

If a park is your dream setting for your wedding, Colorado Springs offers some breathtaking locations for an outdoor exchange of vows. Water features, gazebos and breathtaking natural rock formations provide striking scenery for your special day, and the Colorado Springs area provides ample opportunity for recreation and entertainment for your wedding guests.

Fox Run Regional Park
Located in El Paso County just north of the Colorado Springs city limits is Fox Run Regional Park. The park's covered gazebo over Aspen Lake, reached by a wooden walkway, is a popular wedding site. Stone benches on the bank provide additional seating and a fountain in the lake provides a lovely backdrop. Reserve the gazebo through the El Paso County Parks Department, which will inform you of the current fees. The gazebo can be decorated for the wedding, but no staples, nails or similar items can be used and decorations must be removed at the end of the event.

Seven Falls
Seven Falls is a 181-foot waterfall that flows in seven distinct cascades in South Cheyenne Canyon. There are two ideal locations for wedding ceremonies: at the base of the waterfall and at the Eagle's Nest observation platform, which can be reached by elevator. During summer nights, the waterfall is illuminated by colored lights. Although Seven Falls Park can accommodate a wedding party of up to 150 people, it does not have a facility for a reception. Admission is charged to enter the park, but the bride, groom and officiant are admitted free and invited guests are given a reduced rate.

Garden of the Gods Park
The towering red rocks of the Garden of the Gods can lend a striking look to your wedding. Deeded to the City of Colorado Springs by private owners under the terms that the park be free to the public in perpetuity, Garden of the Gods does not have an admission charge. Since no restrictions can be placed on the use of the park by other visitors, weddings here are often attended by the public. The Central Garden, Three Graces and Cathedral Spires and J.C. Plaza areas are popular wedding locations.
