On Facebook, there is more than one way you can express emotions. Instead of using a string of words, you could also use little icons that represent feelings like happiness or silliness. This process is actually quite simple for Windows users. As long as you type in the correct symbols from your keyboard, you can accomplish this task quickly.
Navigate to Alt-Codes.net. View the various icons available there.
Note the alt code for the icon you wish to use. For example, the alt code to create a heart is to hold down the "Alt" key and press "3."
Log in to Facebook with your username and password.
Type a status update or message. In the place you want the icon to appear, type in the alt code. Your icon should appear in the status window or message box.
