Volleyball Teams in Illinois

For volleyball players interested in playing competitively or considering playing at the collegiate level, club volleyball is a great opportunity to play regularly against the top competition and get recruiting exposure at club volleyball tournaments. Illinois has a wealth of club volleyball programs for girls who are interested. Details of the variety of club volleyball programs in the state of Illinois.

Mizuno Sports Performance Volleyball
Located in the Aurora, Illinois area, the Mizuno Sports Performance Volleyball Club offers opportunities to players grades seven through 12. Middle school players play for the "scholastic prep program" and high school players play for the "college prep program." Their philosophy is to provide young players with a solid base of fundamental skills and, as they grow older, to provide them with the path to achieve their personal level of excellence, whatever that may be. Players are selected and placed on teams based on their tryout performance. The club has eight teams for each age group.

First Alliance Volleyball Club
The First Alliance Volleyball Club is based in the Chicago area and offers teams for players in middle school and high school. High school players play under the First Alliance name, while middle school players play for the Lions Juniors Volleyball Club, under the First Alliance umbrella. This club has qualified teams for the Junior Olympics each year since its inception in 2004, claiming to have one of the toughest competition schedules in the country. Players are selected during annual tryouts.

Illini Elite Volleyball Club
Rooted in Bloomington, Illinois, the Illini Elite Volleyball Club is geared toward high school players while also offering year-round opportunities for middle school and youth players. This club has 60 teams with over 650 players and coaches, one of the largest clubs in Illinois. Their size has brought the attention of college coaches, therefore providing its players with excellent recruiting exposure. The Illini Elite Volleyball Club has their own training center and boast 230 Illini Elite alumni who have played in college. This club offers two levels of membership: expansion membership for players interested in playing multiple sports and needing a lighter schedule, and elite membership for those serious about playing volleyball at the next level. Players are accepted through tryouts.

Sky High Volleyball
Sky High Volleyball has several locations in the state of Illinois: Crystal Lake, Hoffman Estates, Lake Barrington and Palatine, allowing members to choose the location convenient to them. Teams are for players grades eight through 12. Sky High offers two divisions: Junior Olympic (most competitive) and Regional (a shorter season). They also offer a free membership to volleyballrecruits.net. In addition to volleyball training, this club also offers sports and strength training and nutrition programs to their players.

Club Fusion Volleyball
Club Fusion Volleyball is based in northern Illinois with five convenient locations: Marengo, Batavia, Rockford, Crystal Lake and Freeport. Teams are offered for middle school and high school players. Since 2004, Club Fusion ranks second in the country based on the number of athletes recruited to play in college. Each location runs on its own, and holds separate tryouts.

Michio Chicago Volleyball Academy
Based in the Chicago-area, the Michio Chicago Volleyball Academy is a volleyball training company for all ages, and offers a club program for girls in middle school and high school. Their four key principles are integrity, teamwork, discipline and dedication. This club is unite in its belief in a family atmosphere, therefore not exceeding three teams per age group in their club.

Ultimate Volleyball Club
Rooted in Frankfort, Illinois, Ultimate offers two options to their members: a short season (playing March through May) and a year-round, competitive option. All teams compete in the Junior Olympics division of USA Volleyball. Ultimate also offers beach volleyball training and competition for players looking to take their game outside.

Wildcat Juniors Volleyball Club
A Chicago-based club, the Wildcat Juniors offer an Elite program for players who want year-round competition and exposure, and a regional program that consists of a shorter, four month season. This club has the unique opportunity to practice in the same gym as the Northwestern University volleyball team.
