Addiction Solitaire is a Pogo game that was released in March 2008 and is the only basic club game that features mini items, such as a scooter and Pogo buddies, as game rewards. The object of the game is to create a separate row for each suit in the deck, with the 2 being on the left side and the king being on the right. The aces are removed and not used during play, so the far right spot will be blank when you've completed your suits.
Moving Cards
After the cards are shuffled and laid out on the game board, you can only place cards in the empty spots that are in the same suit and the next highest card in the deck. For example, if you have a 6 of diamonds to the left, then the only card you can place next to it on the right is the 7 of diamonds. Be careful when you begin moving cards so that you do not get your king placed in a position where it cannot be moved. Try moving all of your cards to the left to fill empty spaces, while trying to match suits. Once all of the spaces are gone, hit "Reshuffle" to mix up the cards; the cards that are in the correct positions and in their suits will stay in place. There are only three Reshuffles available, so be careful to get as many cards in place before you shuffle.
Game Controls
To move a card into its correct place, if the space is available, simply double-click on the card. If there is more than one place for the card to go and it ends up in the wrong space, you can double-click the card again to move it to the other spot. Cards can also be clicked on and dragged to the position that you want them to be in. This takes more time, however, and time is valuable when you are in the timed games.
Bonus Cards
Whenever you uncover a yellow-highlighted card, you will receive a Buddy, a Free Move or Free Space power-up, or a Token Gift. A Free Move card allows you to swap two cards; a Free Space card allows you to remove one of the kings. A Token Gift allows you to send tokens to another player at the end of the game. There are 10 different Buddies to collect during game play. These are discovered when you uncover the yellow cards. Once you have uncovered all 10 of the buddies, you get to move onto the bonus game.
