Break in Wilson Baseball Glove

\Wilson a gloves are popular throughout the United States, from Little League to Major League Baseball. Hundreds of professional players, including Hall of Famers Willie Mays, Ted Williams and current All-Stars such as Evan Longoria and Hanley Ramirez have used Wilson gloves. Nonetheless, they all started the same way: with a new glove that needed to be broken in.
A baseball glove that is properly broken in feels like an extension of your hand, helping you make difficult plays look routine.

Apply a few drops of glove oil to a towel or rag then rub it on the outer surface of the glove. Pay particular attention to the areas where the glove flexes, such as the webbing, palm, pocket and fingers.

Form the glove. Place the glove on your hand and bend the outside finger and thumb sections inward, creating a slight basket shape. This will help loosen the stiff outer regions of the glove.

Place a regulation-sized baseball in the glove pocket (where the webbing meets the palm) and squeeze the glove closed. Secure it with rubber bands or string so the glove stays closed tightly around the ball. Leave overnight.

Play catch. Use your new glove as much as possible; this will help break in the pocket and webbing. Keep your current glove to use in games and switch to using your new glove in practice.

Repeat these steps until your new glove is loose and fit naturally.
