Ways to Ask Girl Out During a Movie

When you’re hanging out with a group of your friends, you may realize that you have a crush on one of the girls you’re with. Or, you may notice a cute girl at the movie theater snack stand, and you’ll want to ask her out before you head into the theater. Either way, if you’re itching to ask a girl out, you only have a short amount of time to do so. Use creative ways to get your message across.

Tickets
While you’re waiting on line to purchase tickets, strike up a conversation with the girl you have your eye on. Ask if her if she’s seen any of the other movies that are playing. Try to find out which movies she wants to see but hasn’t seen yet. Sneak off during the movie to purchase two tickets to the movie she wants to see. Sit down next to her in the theater, hand her one of the tickets and ask if she’ll be your date the following weekend.

Social Setting
If the girl doesn’t embarrass easily, you can ask her out in front of her friends. Chances are she’ll blush and get a little nervous, but if she likes you, she’ll enjoy being asked out in front of other people. You can simply ask her, or you can do something cuter, like telling her that you’ll only share your popcorn or candy with her if she agrees to go on a date with you.

Note
A cute -- and well-mannered -- way to ask a girl out in the middle of a movie is to pass her a note. Keep it short and sweet. Also, write large enough so she’ll be able to easily read it in the dark theater. Write something quick, such as, “Dinner Friday?” or “Can I take you out?” If she says yes, let her know that you’ll call her the next day to set up your date.

Quote
If you’re watching a romantic comedy or a movie with a love story as part of it, you can repeat a sweet line to the girl you have your eye on and follow by asking if you can see her again, just you two. This might sound corny, but if you do it in a playful way that’s not too serious, she might find it endearing and sweet.

Clarity
Finding a creative way to ask a girl out doesn’t mean you have to beat around the bush. Instead of covering up your request with a lot of talk or explanation, ask her out point blank. You don’t want any confusion -- she should know that you’re asking her out on a date and not just to hang out as friends.

Tips
Girls love compliments, but don’t go overboard. Choose one or two traits to compliment her on. During the movie, remain fun and playful -- don’t complain, make too many comments or distract her too much from the movie. Set up your next date before leaving the movie theater. Ask for her phone number and call a day or two before the date to cement plans.
