Truth or Dare is one of the world's most endearing party games. It breaks the ice among a group of strangers, and invariably results in members of the group getting to know one another on a deeper level. Truth or Dare is often played among groups of couples. A couple's game of truth or dare does not have to be raunchy or "adult" in any way. In fact, every dare that you give can be completely age-appropriate for any group.
Hold a Water Balloon Between Your Shoulders
The game of Truth or Dare is often at its most entertaining when selected players opt not to answer a question that could be potentially embarrassing or damaging. If a couple opts not to embarrass themselves, perhaps they would prefer to get wet instead. Ask the couple to stand back-to-back and hold a water-filled balloon between their shoulder blades as long as possible. At this point, the game can continue depending on their teamwork. If the balloon should fall or burst, they can return to the game.
Honk If You Think I'm Cute
Give each half of a couple a sign saying "Honk If You Think I'm Cute," and have each stand on opposite sides of the street. Count the number of honks received by each person until both are too embarrassed to continue. The winner of the contest can select the next question--or dare--for the other couple.
The Mannequin
One half of the couple volunteers to stand still, impersonating a mannequin. The other half of the couple adjusts the "mannequin," taking orders from the rest of the group who take turns yelling the name of a body part--"arm," "leg," "head" and so on. The "mannequin" must keep a straight face for at least 60 seconds, or the dare starts from the beginning.
The Big Switch
Dare a couple to switch an article of clothing with their partner (such as a scarf, hat or shirt) and put it on. The couple must walk down the street or enter a busy store and act as if everything is normal. For maximum embarrassment, the dare should take place in full view of the other players.
New Names
Each member of a couple must pick a new name for their partner--something completely silly and off-the-wall. For example, they could opt to call one another "Tinkerbell" and "Peter Pan." For the remainder of the game, the couple may only refer to each other by the new names they have selected. If they forget to use the new names, they lose the dare.
