Ideas for Valentine Dates for Teenagers

Dating as a teen is tough because you may still be receiving an allowance because you aren't working, and you may not drive yet either. There are many places in your town or city that you can go to, though, and enjoy with your date on Valentine's Day. Also, there are places that your parents should have no problem going with you, where you will be free to spend time alone hanging out with your Valentine date.

Dinner
Take your date out for a traditional Valentine's Day dinner, but make sure it is a place that teens in your town typically go. Chances are that you won't have the budget for a formal restaurant, so take her to your favorite place or somewhere that you have been wanting to try for awhile. Call ahead and see if the restaurant can plan a special dessert for your date that has a message in icing or chocolate syrup.

Bowling
Plan a bowling Valentine date. You may need your parents to drive you here, but it is a fun date place. Some of these places have bowling in black lights, too, during the later hours. Ask your parents if you can go to this bowling session because it is an atmosphere you are not normally in. You can get to know each other, enjoy each others company and try to improve your bowling skills. A little Valentine's competition makes for a memorable date.

School Play
If your local high school puts on plays by the theater department, this is a option that differs from the typical movie and dinner. You can still go to a Valentine dinner, but take your date to see live theater for a change. Make sure you get tickets in advance in case it sells out. After, reminisce about your favorite parts of the play and the songs you liked best. If you live in a big city, check local theater venues as well.

Picnic
Plan to have a picnic at a local park. Pack a picnic basket complete with a blanket, and then walk over to the park. Make everything homemade, if possible, because it shows that you went the extra mile in preparing for this Valentine date. For example, make heart-shaped sandwiches, cookies or brownies. After, play on the playground or bring along a football to play catch.
