The Wordpress service is useful for creating blogs without any technical experience, but it does not have the rich set of features that Blogger offers. If you decide your business website will benefit from the Blogger platform and it's time to make the change from Wordpress, you don't have to recreate everything from scratch. You can back up your Wordpress blog to Blogger and import all your posts using plugins. The process is secure and requires no coding knowledge.
Sign in to your Blogger account and hover your mouse cursor over the "Tools" link on the dashboard.
Click "Import" from the list of displayed options, and then click "Wordpress."
Click the red "Install Now" button on the window that opens to install the importer.
Click the "Activate Plugin & Run Importer" link once the installation is successful.
Open a new tab and navigate to the Wordpress Applications page.
Click the green "+ Register application" button and then enter the requested information in the fields. Enter "Wordpress Import" as the application name and your Blogger site URL in the "Application website" and "Default callback URL" sections. This information is listed on the "Import Wordpress" Blogger page.
Click the "Register" button and then click "Show secret key."
Copy both the OAuth Consumer Key and Secret Key displayed on the Wordpress page and paste them into the correct fields on the Blogger page.
Click the "Connect to Tumblr" button, and then click the "Authorize the Application" link.
Sign in to your Wordpress account and click the green "Allow" button on the Tumblr page that opens to grant Blogger permission to access the account.
Click the "Import this blog" button on the Blogger screen that opens to initiate the process. The duration will depend on how many posts your Wordpress blog has. The "In Progress" text in the Action/Status section will change to "Finished" once complete.
