If you want to maintain your privacy on Facebook, you can block your profile picture from being displayed to the public. You can even adjust your settings to block your Facebook friends from viewing the picture. When you adjust your settings to block people, past profile pictures are hidden as well. Any specific people you block from viewing your profile picture are not alerted of your settings.
Log in to your Facebook account.
Click your name in the top menu to view your profile. Click “Photos” to display all of the pictures currently saved in your Facebook album.
Click “See All” next to “Photos” in the panel immediately above the albums.
Click the “Options” icon beneath “Profile Pictures.” A drop-down menu is displayed.
Click “Custom” if you want to only block specific people from viewing your picture. Enter the names of the people you want to block from seeing your profile picture in the field indicated and click “Save Changes.”
Click “Custom,” then click “Only Me” in the “Make This Visible To” section if you want to block everyone from viewing your picture. Click “Save Changes.”
