Favorites function differently on Facebook function for pages and personal profiles. If you are the admin of a page on the social networking site, favorites are a way to show users which other users you support. For individual profiles, favorites simply allow you to access your most recently used applications more quickly. Page favorites are located in a public space on the page, while profile favorites are visible only to the profile owner on her homepage.
Pages
If you are the administrator of a page and you add another page as a favorite, the favorite page appears on the left side of your page in the "Likes" section. Anyone who visits your page is able to see your favorite pages, even if he is not a fan of your page. Adding favorites to your page helps you cross-promote another one of your own products or brands, or establish a positive relationship with another company.
Adding Favorites to Pages
To add a favorite to your page, you must be signed in as its administrator. Go to the page that you want to add and click the "Add to My Page's Favorites" link in the left column of the page, near the bottom of the screen. Owners of a profile do not have a favorite list, but applications and groups that you access most often are automatically bookmarked for you on your homepage. After you sign in to Facebook, look in the left column of your homepage, next to your news feed. The Facebook applications you used most recently are in the "Favorites" section, just beneath your thumbnail photo.
Changing Profile Favorites
Because Facebook adds applications to your profile favorites based on when you use them, you cannot manually add or remove things to your "Favorites" section. Rather, if you don't want an application to be in your "Favorites," access another application a few times so that Facebook will rotate the new application into your list of favorites.
