How to Copy & Paste Something on Facebook

On Facebook, people often ask other people to show support for a campaign or cause by copying and pasting a Facebook status. Usually, they ask for others to post it as a status update. However, if you would prefer, you can paste it into your Facebook profile. Afterwards, when people look at your profile, they will see the message that you copied and pasted.

Log into your Facebook account.

Go to the Facebook page that has the information you want to copy. Highlight the text to copy by moving your cursor to the beginning of the text, holding your left mouse button down, scrolling to the end of the text and releasing the mouse button. Press "Ctrl" plus "C" to copy the text to your clipboard.

Click "Home" in the top Facebook navigation bar.

Click "Edit My Profile" near the upper left of the page.

Click a category on the left where you want to paste the message.

Click a text field, then press "Ctrl" plus "V" to paste the message you copied earlier.

Click the "Save Changes" button.
