When posting a Status Update, chatting or sending a message on Facebook, Alt codes allow you to make symbols such as smiley faces, arrows and copyright signs. Some symbols, however, such as the cloud symbol, cannot be created in Facebook using an Alt code. If you wish to make a cloud symbol on Facebook, you must copy the cloud symbol from somewhere else and paste the it into Facebook.
Open the computer's Web browser and navigate to a website that provides you with a list of special character symbols. Chat Emoticons and Smileys, Facebook Symbols and Virtual Assist are a few of the websites that provide such a list.
Highlight the "cloud" symbol in the list of special character symbols. Right-click on the highlighted symbol and select the "Copy" option from the context menu.
Navigate to the Facebook login page. Type your Facebook login and password in the spaces provided and click the "Login" button to access your Facebook account.
Click on the Status Update text entry field if you want to post the cloud in a Status Update. Otherwise, click on the text entry field that corresponds to where you would like to post the cloud symbol.
Right-click on the text entry field and select the "Paste" option from the context menu. The cloud symbol will now be inserted into the text entry field. Post the Status Update, send the personal message or send the chat message.
