Merge Fan Pages on Facebook

Facebook allows you to create community pages dedicated to specific organizations, products or people. Once you've set up a Facebook Page to pay tribute to your favorite pop group, celebrity, movie or TV show, other users can join the page to discuss relevant topics and share content. If you have more than one Facebook fan page with the same name, and dedicated to the same subject, you might want to merge the separate pages to combine the content into a single Facebook Page. To merge fan pages on Facebook, use the "Resources" tool in the Facebook Page settings menu. Facebook reviews all merge requests to ensure that the pages carry the same title and cover the same topic.

Log in to Facebook.

Click on the link to one of the Facebook Pages that you want to merge in the left-hand menu of your homepage. If you can't see the title of the Facebook Page listed in this menu, click the blue "More" link to display all your Facebook Pages.

Choose "Edit Page" in the top right-hand corner of the page. Click the "Resources" button in the left-hand menu.

Press the "Merge Duplicate Pages" link in the "Develop Your Page" section at the top of the page.

Click the check boxes beside the Facebook Pages that you want to merge. Facebook allows users to merge up to five pages. Click the blue "Merge" button. Facebook will review the request and automatically merge the pages if it approves your request. Facebook states that this process can take up to seven days.

Tips & Warnings

You must be a Facebook Page administrator to carry out a merge. Facebook doesn't allow users to merge Facebook Pages with Facebook Groups or user profiles.
