Facebook members post content on the social network in the form of status updates, photos and comments as a way of connecting with friends. Privacy settings allow users to control how their content is posted and who is able to view it. If you're not getting Facebook posts, it's possible that privacy settings or News Feed filters are to blame. You may be able to correct the problem in just a few clicks.
Privacy Settings -- Things I Share
If your Facebook posts are not showing up in your friends' News Feeds, photos and stories, your privacy settings are likely set to prevent this. You will need to adjust your preferences to allow visibility of your posts. Sign in to your Facebook account and click the "Account" tab in the upper right corner, followed by the "Privacy Settings" option. Check off the box to "Let Friends Of People Tagged In My Photos And Posts See Them," if you want your posts to appear in the Feeds of your friends' friends. Click the "Customize Settings" link that appears below the "Sharing On Facebook" section. On the resulting page, use the drop-down menus to set your privacy preferences for "Posts By Me" and check off the "Include Me In 'People Here Now' After I Check In" box to allow your Facebook Places locations to post.

However, it may be as a result of your friends' privacy settings, which you cannot adjust. Sign in to your account and click the "Account" tab in the upper right corner, followed by the "Privacy Settings" option. Click the "Customize Settings" link that appears below the "Sharing On Facebook" section. On the resulting page, use the drop-down menus to set your privacy preferences for "Photos And Videos You're Tagged In" and "Can See Wall Posts By Friends." Check the box to enable the "Friends Can Post On My Wall" option. Note that, while you can allow your friends' posts to appear in your Feeds, their privacy settings must not conflict.
News Feed Filters
Your News Feed has different options for filtering content, which allow you to control the types of stories you see on your Wall. If posts are missing from your Wall, you can apply different filters. Filtering your News Feed to show Top Stories means that only the most interesting stories will appear. Facebook uses a variety of factors to determine which content is most interesting. Stories that generate the most comments typically qualify. The Most Recent filter will change the appearance of your News Feed to show different types of posts in the order they are posted.

If you want to see all posts in your News Feed as they occur in real time, click the "Most Recent" option at the top of your Wall. If you have friend lists, click the name of a friend list from the bottom of the drop-down list to see only stories from those friends in your News Feed.
