Reveal Hidden Email on Facebook

Facebook allows you to add multiple email addresses to your profile -- you might have one business address, for example, and one with your university. While the social networking site displays these addresses for others to see by default, visibility is easily restricted to ensure greater privacy. If you change your mind and want to reveal the email address to more people, visit your "Privacy Settings" menu. Friends are not notified when you change your email visibility settings.

Go to the "Account" link at the top of any Facebook screen while you are logged in. Select "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down menu that opens.

Click on the small blue "Customize settings" link at the bottom of the "Sharing on Facebook" section.

Scroll down to the "Contact Information" group on the "Customize Settings" page.

Click on the gray button immediately to the right of your email address to expose a privacy setting drop-down menu. Select a new privacy setting; any setting above "Only Me" reveals the email address to other people. Choose "Friends Only" to make the email visible to people on your friends list but hidden from other users or "Everyone" to make the email visible to any Facebook user.
