Navigating through Facebook privacy settings is reminiscent of trying to find your way through a labyrinth, particularly when it comes to the information you want to share on your profile. If you join groups on Facebook, you may not want to share that with everybody. Facebook doesn't make it clear how you can hide groups, it can be done. The only drawback is that you also have to hide the fan pages you like.
Go to Facebook.com and log in to your account.
Click the "Account" link in the upper right corner of your home page. Click "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down menu.
Locate the "Connecting on Facebook" heading at the top of the page and click the "View Settings" link next to it.
Scroll down to "See your likes, activities and other connections" and click the tab to the right.
Click "Customize," then click the tab under " Make this visible to."
Click "Only Me," then click the "Save Settings" button. This will hide your groups and your fan page likes.
