Tips to Autopost to Facebook

Facebook does not have a built-in tool to schedule or automate updates, but you can schedule updates using one of a handful of third-party applications. If you want Facebook to update automatically when you post an entry to an RSS feed, there are apps that allow you to import your RSS feed; one of the most common is RSS Graffiti. You can also use TweetDeck or HootSuite to write and schedule status updates. All three methods can be used either for your Facebook profile or for your Facebook page.
TweetDeck

Install TweetDeck for your desktop. While there are several editions for TweetDeck, the only version of the program that supports scheduled updates is the desktop edition. You can download TweetDeck from TweetDeck website. It requires Adobe Air to run, and is supported on Windows, OS X and Linux.

Connect your Facebook account to TweetDeck. Click the "Settings" icon in the upper right corner. Select "Accounts," then "Add New Account," then "Facebook." Click "Save Settings."

Click the "Compose Update" icon in the upper left corner; this opens the composition options. Fill in the body of your update, and select your Facebook account from the linked accounts.

Click the clock icon to the left of the "Send" button. Fill in the date and time for your update and click "Set Time." Click the "Send" button, which will have changed to the date and time that you've scheduled.

HootSuite

Open HootSuite in your browser. You can sign up and log in at HootSuite.com. If your Facebook account is not connected to your HootSuite account, click the "Settings" icon on the left sidebar and select "Social Networks." Click "Add Social Network," then "Facebook" to authorize access to your account.

Click the update text box in the upper left corner of the screen. The box will expand, revealing several post options. Click the Calendar icon and select the date and time that you want your update to appear. Click "Done."

Fill in the message that you want to share, then click your Facebook icon located to the right of the text box. Click "Schedule" when you're done.

RSS Graffiti

Authorize RSS Graffiti for Facebook. RSS Graffiti serves than a million users on Facebook, and is rated at four stars. You can find it at Facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti. Click "Go to App" to authorize access to your Facebook profile.

Click "Add Feed" on the RSS Graffiti page and enter your website's RSS URL. You can change the settings for the how the post updates: as a regular link, a compact link or a status update.

Click the "Schedule" tab to change how often RSS Graffiti checks for new updates. You can set it to update every time there is a new item, or in increasing intervals up to "Once a Day."

Click "Save" to finish setting your RSS feed to post automatically to your Facebook profile.
