Add People to Facebook Messages

Sending Facebook messages affords you some privacy when communicating with your Facebook friends. You can send email type messages to individual or multiple friends instead of posting information on your Wall. Similar to email messaging, you can add multiple message recipients to your Facebook messages. There are some restrictions when it comes to sending messages. You cannot mass message people who aren't your Facebook friends. This prevents spam messages.

Go to the Facebook website. Log in to your Facebook profile with your username and password.

Click on the "Messages" link under your profile picture on your home page.

Click the button for "+ New Message."

Type a friend's name in the "To:" box. As you type, Facebook attempts to match the name to one of your Facebook friends. When your friend pops up in the drop-down box, click on his name to add him to the message.

Place your cursor in the "To:" box. Type another friend's name. Select her from the list that appears. Continue this process to add people to the Facebook message.

Type in a message in the "Message:" box. Click the "Send" button.
