Ask for Relationship on Facebook

Facebook lets you provide ample personal information, including your school, favorite movies and work experience, on your profile page. You can also post your relationship status, complete with your significant other's name, on your profile. To ask your significant other to confirm your relationship, enter your relationship level, then enter the person's name. The website then asks the person to confirm the relationship and make it official on Facebook.

Navigate to the Facebook homepage, enter your login information and click "Login."

Click "Profile" at the top-right corner of the Facebook page.

Click the "Edit Profile" link underneath your name. The "Edit Profile" page opens.

Click "Featured People" in the left-hand column.

Click the "Relationship Status" drop-down box and click a relationship status such as "Married," "Engaged" or "In a Relationship."

Type the person's name into the field below. The names of your Facebook friends appear below the field as you type.

Click the person's name when it appears in the drop-down field.

Click "Save Changes" to send a relationship request to your significant other.
