Block Facebook Friend Requests

Facebook is an effective way to keep up with friends and acquaintances, and the site has a handy search feature that allows you to locate old friends and add them as Facebook contacts. You don't always want to be found and added, however. Facebook doesn't allow you to block friend requests altogether, but you can easily limit friend requests to friends of friends or block specific users so they can't add you.

Log in to Facebook.com

Click "Account" in the top right, and select "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Click "View Settings" under "Connecting on Facebook."

Click the button on the line "Send you friend requests," and select "Friends of friends" from the drop-down menu. This blocks everyone except people already connected to your Facebook friends.

Block a Person from Sending You a Friend Request
Go to the profile of the person you want to block.

Click "Report/block this person" at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Click the "Block" checkbox to tick it, and then click "Continue." The person is now blocked from adding you as a Facebook friend.
