Facebook allows you to view the status updates of all of the Facebook users in your network in the News Feed on your Facebook home page. If you wish, you can block a user's status updates from appearing in your News Feed by hiding their updates. If you want to hide another Facebook user's updates without deleting them from your friends list, you can do so in a few simple steps.
Open your browser and navigate to the Facebook login page. Type your Facebook account email address and password in the spaces provided and click the "Login" button.
Move the computer's mouse cursor over a status update from the user whose updates you want to block from appearing in your News Feed. A small "X" icon will appear to the right of the status update.
Click the "X" icon to the right of the status update. Select the "Hide all by XXX" from the context menu that appears where "XXX" is replaced by the name of the poster whose updates you want to block. All of the status updates from that Facebook user will now be blocked and will no longer appear in your News Feed.
