Hide Like Box on Facebook

One of the social aspects of Facebook is letting readers know which comments, photos, videos and other features of the site you like. By clicking on the "Like" button next to the content, your name becomes associated with that specific post or page. When accessing Facebook from a mobile device or from a computer with a sensitive mouse, you might accidentally click on the "Like" button unintentionally. In a few simple steps, you can remove your name from the liked item and future users who view the content will not see your name listed on the post.

Log in to your Facebook account.

Click on your Facebook name, located in the upper left corner of the screen, next to your avatar.

Scroll through your recent activity on Facebook and locate the item you need to unlike. Look for an icon of a blue thumbs-up gesture.

Hover your mouse to the far right of the notification until a light blue "X" appears. Click on the "X."

Choose from "Remove Post," "Remove Post and Unlike," "Hide all Likes Activity" or "Mark as Spam." Click on the second choice to remove the indication that you "Like" the post. You will see a pop-up box warning indicating your choice will permanently remove your connection with this page.

Click on "Remove Post and Unlike" to remove the "Like."
