If you have signed up for Facebook, you might be eager to get started finding friends and posting messages. Before you can explore the wonderful world of Facebook, however, you will need to activate your account. Facebook requires account activation as a way to confirm that you want to create the account and you are a real person, not a computer bot. Open your email client or the Web-based email service that you use.
Locate the message from Facebook in your inbox and click on it. If you don't see a message in your inbox, check your spam folder.
Click on the activation link in the Facebook message. This will take you directly to Facebook and your account will be instantly activated. If clicking the link does not work in your email client, right-click on the link and select "Copy Link Location" from the context menu that appears.
