Make Facebook Profile Attractive

Millions of people have Facebook accounts, so if you want to make yours stand above the norm, you'll have to be creative. If you're using Facebook for business, you want to ensure your page displays a professional image of your product or service. If you're using the site for personal use, you can still build a profile that has a unique photo, interesting information and various applications.

Upload a unique photo that makes people want to click on your profile. The photo is often the first thing people see, so just as is the case with a newspaper headline, it is important to make it interesting. Instead of using a photo of you in a group or a formally posed shot, try an image of you somewhere recognizable or posing with someone famous you know.

Enter creative, interesting information into the categories on your "Info" page. Instead of simply listing your hometown or job, list your hobbies, pastimes, favorite quotes, movies and music you enjoy, and any other relevant information. You can also include friends' names in your details by typing "@" and the friend's name when you write something. So, instead of saying you work at a coffee shop, write that you work at a coffee shop with the names of some friends who are coworkers.

Update your personal information on a regular basis. Many people fill in this information when they create a Facebook account, and it stays the same for years. As a result, it's boring and stagnant. Instead, check your "Info" page once a month to see if something has changed. Perhaps you're in a new grade, have a new job or enjoy a different quote. Updating this information makes your profile appear on your friends' New Feed.

Download Facebook applications that you enjoy. These may include games, quizzes or fan pages. By adding these apps to your page, you'll give people a true indicator of who you are, and by doing so, you'll have a unique, creative page. Also, you iwll be able to meet and connect with other like-minded people through these apps.

Write status updates that will catch peoples' eye, including significant quotes or sentences that make people stop and think. This type of update is far more interesting than, "Just ate lunch. Yum."
