The social-networking site Facebook allows you to meet and potentially form relationships with people around the globe. If you are in a relationship, you may want this information known, so you can avoid many of the awkward requests from potential suitors. Likewise, you may want to advertise you are single, so you can encourage such requests. To display your status, you only need to select a status to use, and it will automatically become visible.
Log in to your Facebook account.
Click "Edit Profile" at the top-right of your home page.
Click "Featured People" from the left-hand navigation pane.
Click the drop-down menu next to "Relationship Status," and select your current status. For relationship type statuses, such as "In a relationship" or "Married," you can optionally select one of your Facebook friends in the field below. A confirmation will be sent to the friend, and your relationship statuses will be linked if he/she accepts. However, you do not have to specify with whom you are in a relationship.
Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the form.
