If you encounter a Facebook page that is impersonating you that you did not create, it is important to report the profile to Facebook. The Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities states: "You will not provide any false personal information on Facebook, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission." If the profile violates the Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, Facebook will remove the profile.
Sign in to your Facebook account. If you do not have a Facebook account, ask a friend or family member to help you.
Navigate to the fake profile.
Click the "Report/Block this Person" link in the left-hand column of the profile. A dialog box appears on your screen.
Click "This profile is pretending to be someone or is fake" and click the "Continue" button. Facebook will contact you if they need any additional information.
