If you suspect someone other than you has logged in to your Facebook account, the first thing to do is change your password. Doing so helps prevent any unauthorized logins in the future. Three features in Facebook's Security settings help track and limit which devices have permission to log in to your account.
Access Security Settings
Click the upside down triangle near your notifications to bring up the Options menu. Select "Settings," then choose "Security." This page features all the settings regarding login security and tracking.
Login Notifications
With Login Notifications, Facebook automatically sends you a text message or when a new device accesses your account. Click "Login Notifications" on the Security Settings page, then place a check mark next to "Email" and/or "Text Message/Push Notification." Select "Save Changes" to complete the process.
Login Approvals
This feature is limited to those who've added their mobile number to their Facebook account. Login approvals require each new device that accesses your account to enter a security code. After adding your devices to your account, you'll be able to log in from these devices without entering a security code. From your Security Settings, select "Login Approvals," place a check mark in the box and click "Save Changes."
Activity Log
The Activity Log shows you where and when you've logged in, and with what devices. The location listed may not be totally accurate because it's based on your IP address, but it should be close by. From Security Settings, select "Where You're Logged In." For any sessions you don't recognize, click the "End Activity" button. If you haven't done so yet, change your password now under the General Account Settings.
