Links provide an excellent way to share information with your Facebook friends. The next time you find a funny YouTube video, controversial news story or you update your blog, post a link on your Facebook wall. This gives your network easy access to the website. Sharing a link is not the same as posting a status update. You have to click on the option to add a "Link." You then add a description such as you would in your status update.
Open your web browser and go to the Facebook website. Log in to your Facebook home page with your username and password.
Click on the "Link" link above the status update box.
Enter a URL into the field text box. Click the "Attach" button.
Enter a description into the field text box. Click the "Share" button.
