Share Video on Facebook

Sharing on Facebook doesn't have to be restricted to the written word. Share the still photos of your most recent event or a video you've taken with a camera or mobile phone. As long as media is saved to your computer hard drive, it is quickly transferred to Facebook and saved to your profile; Facebook accepts videos in most file formats, but video cannot exceed 20 minutes or 1024 MB. As with photo albums, each video may be shared with all of Facebook or only your friends list.

Point your browser to the Facebook homepage. Click on the "Photos" link in the left column of the screen; if you don't see the "Photos" link, click the "More" link to find it.

Click the "Upload Video" icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Click the "File Upload" tab. Click on the "Browse" icon to open a window showing your hard drive files. Navigate to the folder that holds a video, and click once on the file name. Click "Open" to select the video for upload.

Enter a title and description for the video in the labeled fields. If a Facebook friend is in the video, type his name in the "In This Video" field. Click "Save Info" to post the video to your profile.

Click the "Record Video" tab to record a video using your Web cam. Follow the prompts on the screen to begin and end recording. Click "Save Info" when you're finished to save the video to your profile.

Set the privacy for your video by clicking the "Edit this Video" link, located just beneath the video. Click the gray icon next to "Privacy" and choose the new setting, ranging from "Everyone" to "Only Friends." Click "Save."
