Facebook does not allow users to tag organizations in photos, but the website does allow organizations to be tagged in status updates and comments. Tagging an organization in a status update is useful for users who want to specifically point out that organization to anyone who reads that update as it provides a direct link to the organization's Facebook page within the update itself. Tagging an organization within a status update or comment can be done with just a few extra keystrokes while typing the update.
Type the name of the organization in the Facebook search bar at the top of the webpage and press "Enter." If multiple pages appear in the search results, click the appropriate organization to go to its Facebook page.
Click the "Like" button at the top of the organization's Facebook page.
Click the "Profile" link near the top-right corner of the Web page.
Type the status update in the "What's on your mind?" box and type the organization's name where necessary in the update preceded by the "@" symbol (i.e. "@Demand Media").
Press "Enter" to publish the tagged status update.
