Only individuals can become members of Facebook. However, if you have a business, brand or organization, you can create a Facebook Page to share information and connect with Facebook members. A Facebook Page is similar to a member's profile, but designed for an entity. When a Facebook member "likes" your page, he receives news feed updates of your posts. You are automatically the administrator, or admin, of a Facebook page you create. You can also make a Facebook friend an admin to help you manage the page, so pages can have multiple admins.
Facebook Page Roles
The admin of a Facebook page can edit the page, add apps, create, delete and respond to posts and comments as the Page, send messages as the Page, create ads, view insights and see who posted as the Page. In addition to the admin role itself, the admin can assign four other roles to people to help manage a page: Editor, Moderator, Advertiser and Analyst. Each role has a different set of tasks it can perform for the page.
