Facebook is an Internet social networking website you can use to connect with your friends and family online. The Facebook website offers an official Facebook toolbar application that you can download and install for Firefox 3.0 or Internet Explorer Web browsers. This application allows you to see when you have new messages, requests, pokes or invitations. It also allows you to share Web pages and upload images to Facebook no matter what website you are browsing.
Log into your Facebook account.
Navigate to facebook.com/toolbar.
Click the "Download Facebook Toolbar" button.
Confirm the installation dialog when prompted. Depending on the browser you use, the program may run an installation wizard.
Reboot your Internet browser to allow changes to take place. You will now see the Facebook Toolbar under your standard browser toolbar.
