Add New Phone to Google Voice

According to "Our Town America," one in five people moves every year. For most of those 43 million Americans, moving also includes new phone numbers. One of the key features of Google Voice is the ability to keep one central phone number that will ring on any phone you add to the system regardless of location. You may add up to 10 different numbers, including landlines and cell phones, to your Google Voice account.

Log in to your Google Voice account using your Gmail address and password.

Click on the drop-down arrow by the "Settings" button at the top right corner of your Google Voice page.

Click on "Voice Settings."

Click on the "Phones" tab. Click on "Add Another Phone" in the center of the page.

Type in the name you wish to use to identify the new phone and the phone number in the spaces provided. Choose the type of phone from the drop-down menu. If you are adding a cell phone, you can also choose to allow text messages. Click on the "Send" button.

Press the "Connect" button to allow Google Voice to dial your phone. Type in the number key provided by Google on your phone keypad to verify your phone.
