What started as a campus-only social networking site in a dorm room at Harvard has evolved into the world-wide phenomenon that is Facebook. Millions of people use their Facebook profiles to stay up-to-date about their friends, favorite celebrities and businesses. The site is always adding new features including the ability to receive SMS text updates sent directly to your phone. Any time someone writes on your wall, sends you a private message or tags you in a photo, if you've activated the service, you get a text. However, if you change your mind and want to delete the SMS updates from your account, you can turn it off.
