Do Exact Match Search in Google

Google's search engine contains a variety of advanced features. Normally, when you type a search query such as "history of CA" into Google, you'll get results that don't contain the phrase as typed. Even if you type "history of CA," with the quotes, Google will still consider "CA" as "California" and give you results including the history of California. If you want to match a phrase exactly, you can prefix the phrase with a plus sign. Google will only search for the exact text you specify.

Type a "+" at the start of the search box.

Type your search phrase surrounded by quotation marks. It should look similar to "+"exact match search.""

Press "Enter."
