Make Google Professional Documents

You may notice that documents created in the Google Docs and Spreadsheet program don't look professional when printed out. If you just hit print once you've completed your document, you'll get a header and footer that includes the name of the site and URL. If you remove the header and footer, your Google documents will look more polished.

Open the Google Docs and Spreadsheet program. Since it's web-based, you can use the word processing program by signing into your Google account.

Finish your word processing or spreadsheet document. Save your file before you continue to make sure you don't lose any of your work.

Select "Print Preview" from the "File" menu at the top of the page. At the top of the preview page a "Page Setup" option will appear.

Click on "Margins & Header/Footer" from the "Page Setup" menu. You'll see an option to set both the headers and footers to "blank."

Print the document. It should no longer have the header and footer printed on it. You can save the document again to ensure the changes remain.
