Posting your birthday on your Facebook page helps your friends and family remember when to send you well wishes. Your birthday will appear on the "Info" tab of your profile, and all confirmed friends receive a notification on their homepage the day before your birthday and on your actual birthday. As with all changes to your Facebook profile, adding your birthday is not permanent -- you can alter your birthday if you've made a mistake or hide your birthday at any time.
Click the "Profile" link in the top right corner of any Facebook screen to access your Facebook profile.
Click the "Edit Profile" icon on the right side of your profile.
Go to the "Basic Information" tab.
Click on the downward arrow next to the first field in the "Birthday" section to select the month of your birthday from a drop-down menu. Use the second arrow to choose the date of your birth and the last arrow to choose the year.
Click on the downward arrow next to the field directly underneath your birth date to choose how much of you birthday you expose on Facebook. You may reveal your entire birthday or only the month and date.
Scroll down, and click the "Save Changes" icon at the bottom of the page.
