Facebook is a social networking website that allows people and businesses to connect with each other. A personal profile on Facebook is made for individuals, but a Facebook business account is made for businesses that want to promote their product. Unlike personal accounts, business accounts cannot send or receive friend requests or be located in a general search.
Go to Facebook's homepage. Click on the "Create a Page for a Celebrity, Band or Business" link at the bottom-right corner of the homepage to make a Facebook Page for your business.
Click on the box that meets your business description. You can choose from six options, including local business, place, brand or product.
Fill in the blanks with your business information, including name, address and phone number. Click the I Agree to Facebook Pages Terms box, then click "Get Started."
Sign in to your Facebook account, if you already have one. If you do not have a Facebook account, click "I do not have a Facebook account," then enter your email address and date of birth to set up an account.
Add photos, ads and business information to your business account page by clicking on the labeled tabs. Log into your account whenever you want to update your page.
