Tips on How to Lock SafeSearch

Google's SafeSearch feature lets you filter explicit content from your Google search results. There are two levels of Google safe search: moderate filtering and strict filtering. Moderate filtering filters explicit images; strict filtering filters explicit images and text. Locking SafeSearch prevents other computer users from changing the search settings unless they know your Google password. You'll need a Google account to lock the SafeSearch feature.

Visit Google.com/preferences and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Click on "Use Moderate Filtering" or "Use Strict Filtering" beneath "SafeSearch Filtering."

Click "Lock SafeSearch." Sign into your Google account. Click "Lock Safe Search" again to save the setting.
