Throw Knockout Punch

You want to be a fighter who can knock someone out with one hit? It takes skill, patience, strength and timing to throw a knockout punch. If you want to learn to do it like a pro, follow these steps.

Use the weight of your body to throw a knockout punch. It is insufficient to simply hit someone using your arm strength. To knock them out, you need to put all of your body weight into it. You can get a sense of how to use your body weight to punch by pushing a heavy object using your body weight.

Learn to swivel. This is an important aspect of throwing a knockout punch. Essentially, you adopt the boxing stance (one foot slightly behind the other). Aim the punch at the face of the opponent. When you throw the punch, you use your right or left arm (depending on strength). At that moment, you shift all the weight from the opposite side to the side from which you deliver the punch.

Develop the snapping technique. Snap the punch at the face of the opponent, pushing through just enough to deliver the blow, and end the power motion. In other words, let your fist do what it needs to do, but do not follow through beyond the initial snap. With practice, you will see that the punch alone is enough to knock them out.

Strive to make the opponent's head jerk. To knock someone out, you need to hit him hard enough to literally shake his brains against his skull. Any hit that causes this jarring impact is likely to knock the opponent out.

Comprehend that speed is the key to a knockout. If you hit fast and with enough strength, a knockout is likely to ensue. Strive for a quick hit that is forceful enough to jar the head.
