Halloween is such a fun holiday for the little ones. Besides dressing up like their favorite characters and getting way too much candy, kids get really into the decorations and crafts, too! These finger puppets are a lot of fun to make with the kids and it's even more fun to watch them use them and come up with their own creepy stories. You can make them in a matter of minutes and the kids will love you for it! Here's how to make your own.
To make your own finger puppets all you'll need is this free printable, and a few things from around the house, including white card stock, scissors, crayons or colored pencils, and a 3/4 inch hole punch. You can hand cut the finger holes, but this size hole punch works perfectly for tiny fingers!
Step 1
After you print off the printable onto the card stock, let the kids color and decorate theirs with some colored pencils or crayons.
Tip
If you want to get real fancy, you can bust out the glue and glitter!
Step 2
Once they're all colorful and fun, use some scissors to cut out the designs. You can cut really close to the black lines, or leave some white space to make them a little sturdier.
Step 3
Next, you'll grab your hole punch and punch two holes where you want the fingers to go. Be sure the holes don't overlap and that the holes aren't too close to the edges where they might rip. Once you have done that, hand them over to the kids for spooky finger puppet fun!
