Block Contacts on Gmail

Creating an email block list can help you increase protection and privacy for your Gmail account. If you want to reduce or eliminate spam, Gmail contains a filtering system that gives you the authority to choose which emails are delivered to your inbox. These filters allow you to stipulate specific email filters such as sender's email address, email subjects and words contained in an email, and designate an appropriate action. To block an email from a specific contact, you can create an email filter that automatically deletes the emails sent from the sender's email address.

Sign in to your Gmail account.

Click the "Create a filter" link located to the right of the "Search Mail" field.

Enter the contact's email address in the "From" field. Click "Next Step."

Click the box "Delete it" and click "Create Filter."
