Extract Email Addresses From Gmail

Google wants to make a ninja out of you. According to Google's Gmail website, becoming a White Belt Gmail Ninja (the easiest rank, by the way) means knowing how to import and export email addresses. Whether its for serious business purposes or just for a quick boost to your Ninja ego, exporting contacts is quite useful. Gmail accommodates this and makes the extraction process simple.

Sign in to your Gmail account.

Click "Contacts" on the left sidebar of your Gmail front page. The link is located below links to your mail inbox and stored folders.

Click "Export" in the upper-left corner of the Contacts menu. Select options to extract all of your contacts' addresses or only a specific group you have created. You can also select the file type the extracted file will be saved in.

Click "Export" to save your chosen options and download the file. If prompted with a pop-up window after clicking, select a location to save the file and press "OK."
