If you try to log in to Gmail, but you see an error message such as “web login required” or “invalid credentials,” you may need to reset the CAPTCHA associated with your account. CAPTCHAs are designed to guard your account against unauthorized access. If you try to log in multiple times within 10 minutes or the servers don't correctly receive your login request, Google recommends clearing the CAPTCHA. Resetting will allow you to log in normally.
Try logging in from the Web version of Gmail. Visit Gmail.com and enter your login information. Google recommends trying this first as it usually resolves the login error messages and the multiple requests for your login details. If this doesn't work, you'll need to reset the CAPTCHA.
Visit Gmail's Display Unlock CAPTCHA page (see Resources). If you're using a Google Apps account and the page above doesn't work, visit https://www.google.com/a/yourdomain.com/UnlockCaptcha instead. Replace “yourdomain” with your business or site's domain.
Enter your username and password and click “Sign In.”
Enter the displayed CAPTCHA characters into the text box below the CAPTCHA. If the CAPTCHA is blank, press the refresh button on your browser.
Click “Unlock” to clear the login error you were receiving and log in to your account.
